Questions about your chart, your birth data, and how MindConstellation™ works.
Birth Data & Accuracy
If you know your exact birth time, use it.
Birth time is necessary for time-sensitive chart features such as the Ascendant, Midheaven, house cusps, and house placements.
Even a relatively small difference in birth time can affect parts of the chart, particularly when a placement or angle is close to a boundary.
You can still generate a chart using MindConstellation™'s unknown-birth-time option.
When birth time is unknown, MindConstellation™ should calculate only what can responsibly be determined without pretending an exact time is known.
Time-dependent features that cannot be calculated reliably without an exact birth time may be omitted.
MindConstellation™ is designed to distinguish between an exact known birth time and an unknown birth time.
Do not enter a guessed or approximate time and treat it as exact.
If you do not know the time with sufficient confidence, use the unknown-birth-time option.
Your birth date establishes the day of the chart, but birth time helps determine how the sky was oriented relative to the location of birth.
It can affect:
the Ascendant
the Midheaven
houses
house cusps
chart angles
house placements
other time-sensitive chart geometry
Use the most accurate birth location you reasonably know.
MindConstellation™ uses location information to determine geographic coordinates and historical time information needed for chart calculation.
If the exact city is unknown, use the closest accurate location available rather than intentionally entering a false location.
Yes.
MindConstellation™ resolves the location and uses the application's timezone calculation system to determine the time information needed for the chart.
Historical timezone and daylight-saving rules can be more complicated than simply applying the location's present-day UTC offset.
Yes, provided you have permission or other appropriate authority to use their birth information.
The person whose birth information appears in a chart is the chart subject.
The chart subject is not necessarily the person currently using MindConstellation™.
Yes.
A chart subject may be any age.
The birth date entered into a natal chart identifies the chart subject and is not automatically treated as the age of the website visitor, account holder, purchaser, subscriber, or research participant.
Anonymous chart generation does not use a chart-subject age gate.
Chart Calculations
MindConstellation™ currently uses the Tropical zodiac.
MindConstellation™ currently uses the Placidus house system when the chart contains the birth-time information required to calculate houses.
MindConstellation™ uses Swiss Ephemeris as part of its astronomical chart-calculation system.
MindConstellation™ currently resolves birth locations using a local geographic dataset derived from GeoNames.
Your birth-location search is not sent to another astrology website for chart calculation.
No.
Natal-chart calculation is mathematical and astronomical.
The current public chart-calculation flow uses the application's calculation system and Swiss Ephemeris.
Your birth information and current public chart data are not sent to OpenAI or another large-language-model provider as part of natal-chart calculation.
Charts can differ when platforms use different:
zodiac systems
house systems
node settings
aspect definitions
aspect orbs
object selections
location databases
historical timezone data
birth-time handling
rounding or display conventions
A difference does not automatically mean one platform is broken.
The first things to compare are the exact birth data and calculation settings used by each platform.
The Ascendant depends on birth time and location.
If you told MindConstellation™ that your exact birth time is unknown, time-dependent angles such as the Ascendant may be unavailable rather than calculated from an invented time.
Houses depend on birth time.
If the birth time is unknown, MindConstellation™ may omit houses instead of presenting a guessed house structure as though it were exact.
Astrological positions are continuous measurements.
A planet, angle, or house cusp can fall very close to a boundary.
Small differences in birth data, calculation settings, rounding, or display formatting can therefore make boundary placements look especially close.
The interface may format positions for readability, but calculations should preserve the precision used by the underlying chart engine.
Do not interpret a visually rounded display value as proof that the underlying calculation was performed only to that displayed precision.
MindConstellation™ may support planets, chart angles, lunar nodes, and other astrological objects depending on the current interface and product.
As MindConstellation™ expands, additional supported objects may be documented separately.
MindConstellation™ calculates supported angular relationships between chart objects according to its current aspect and orb rules.
Because the aspect system is part of the evolving calculation architecture, detailed aspect and orb documentation may be provided separately rather than hard-coded into this FAQ.
Using MindConstellation™
No.
You can currently generate a natal chart without creating a MindConstellation™ account.
MindConstellation™ retains a canonical calculation-input record containing information needed to recognize and reuse previously resolved chart inputs.
This can include birth date, birth-time status, exact birth time when provided, resolved birthplace, coordinates, timezone information, and calculation metadata.
This allows MindConstellation™ to recognize an identical chart input later instead of unnecessarily repeating the entire resolution and calculation process.
The canonical guest record does not include the name or nickname entered on the chart form or an account ID.
No. Current chart generation does not automatically publish the visitor's natal chart as a public profile.
No.
Submitting birth information to calculate a chart does not make that information publicly visible through the ordinary MindConstellation™ chart-generation flow.
For details about storage and processing, see the Privacy Policy.
Yes. Account creation is currently available.
MindConstellation™ accounts are intended for users age 13 and older.
Yes. Signed-in users may save supported chart profiles to their account library.
Yes. A saved profile can be removed from the account library.
Deleting the account-library copy does not currently mean that the canonical calculation-input record used for chart resolution and reuse is also erased.
Direct editing is not currently available. Generate a corrected chart profile and remove the old saved profile from your account library if needed.
Anonymous natal-chart generation does not use an age gate based on the age of the chart subject.
MindConstellation™ accounts are intended for people age 13 and older.
Participation in MindConstellation™ research is limited to adults age 18 and older.
No.
Generating a chart, creating an account, saving a chart, joining a mailing list, accepting the Privacy Policy, accepting the Terms of Use, or purchasing a product does not enroll you in MindConstellation™ research.
Research participation will require a separate 18+ eligibility and consent process.
Signature Reports
No.
Generating a natal chart and obtaining a Signature Report are separate experiences.
The chart provides the astronomical structure used by MindConstellation™.
Signature Reports are separate interpretive products.
Signature Reports are MindConstellation™ interpretive products designed to explore particular dimensions or themes of a natal chart.
Different reports may focus on different areas rather than repeating the same generic chart reading.
Not yet.
Signature Reports are currently being prepared for release.
Users may join available report waitlists or product-update lists to hear when specific reports become available.
Reports based on the same verified birth information can use the same underlying natal-chart calculation.
Different Signature Reports may examine different features, combinations, themes, or interpretive domains within that chart.
The final report workflow is not active yet, so birth-profile reuse for future reports has not been finalized.
MindConstellation™'s natal-chart calculation is not performed by an AI language model.
Current public report generation is not yet active, and current public chart or report data is not being sent to OpenAI or another large-language-model provider through the active public flow.
If the report-generation architecture later changes, this FAQ and the Privacy Policy will be reviewed before launch.
A natal chart contains far more than a Sun sign.
Two people can share the same Sun sign while differing in:
exact planetary positions
Moon sign
Ascendant
houses
chart angles
aspects
planetary relationships
and other chart structure
MindConstellation™ is designed to work from the larger chart rather than reducing a person to one zodiac sign.
MindConstellation™ is being developed around structured astrological calculation and interpretation systems rather than simply producing a generic Sun-sign description.
